Ocean Quest

Our field projects

Durban, South Africa

In Europe and North America, beaches stay clean because a significant amount of plastic, garbage and electronic waste is shipped to Asia and Africa. We spent two months in Durban and helped locals and NGO’s onsite to close a full-cycle (2022/2023).

Goa, India

Areas lacking sandy beaches and local NGOs are filled with garbage and plastic. We will start our project in 2024, which will last 2 years. We give plastic a value, which will pay locals and fishermen a livelihood during the project phase (2024).

Tanzania, Africa

We set-up a new hub of Ocean Quest in Tanzania, nearby the border to Kenia and not far away from mount Kilimanjaro.
Reason is, that there are millions of PET bottles on the floor, which can be recyled (2024/2025).

Philippines

Nearly 40% of plastic is deep in the seas, leading to 300,000 annual deaths of dolphins, turtles, and whales due to Ghost nets.
Approximately 20 major rivers, mostly in Asia, contribute significantly to ocean garbage and plastic pollution.
