Ocean Quest represents a group of entrepreneurs, philanthropists, environmentalists, specialists and others – who are committed to keep the oceans healthy, reforest the world’s forests to absorb CO2 and to look for new ways to feed the world’s population.
The organization currently has almost 400 members, growing strongly, and is organized as a global, adaptive organization, which is a combination of a holacracy and a podular organization. We are based in Liechtenstein, Switzerland and numerous countries in Europe.
With the help of robots, drones and AI, we are venturing into areas that were previously impossible. The development of undersea spheres will enable ocean farming at depths of more than 40 meters, with artificial light. Our vision are human habitats, Ocean villages, with own power and oxygen supply.
Our new wing gliders with up to 12 meter in lengths, powered by fuel cells, can travel long distances and perform a variety of tasks. These include the relocation of marine logistics to depths of less than 30 meters, regardless of currents and waves.

Clean-Up
Our cleaning & surveillance robot for large harbors and big lakes is about 4 – 6 meters, a multihull, and made out of aluminum and steel and two inflatable hulls. It is driven by two powerful electrical engines and lithium batteries and optional a gas stroke engine for charging the battery during the work. This allows the use without interruption

Kelp Forests
We will use the Depths of the Oceans below 2500+ meters for long term- storage of 750 years (University of Stockholm), using containers made out- of bamboo, compressed by 500 degrees Celsius (Pyrolysis). One Carbon Certificate (1t) for long-term storage is worth today in the average ca. 30 US with a bandwidth between 5 US dollars (private trade) and 76 US dollars (carbon dioxide stock exchanges) Beside South-West Africa, we already started in Melbourne, Australia, and will continue in South America … But there are often restrictions like harbours, marinas, natural reserves, etc. So, there is only endless space for Kelp farms far away from the coasts, offshore!

Ocean Farming
For mass plantation of kelp forests, sea grass and algae, we will need Giga Ocean Farms in future, which can operate in depths up to 110 meters and more in future, which was not possible in the past. Our new Spheres have a diameter from 4 -6 meters today – and up to 12 meters tomorrow. They can be filled with air and can be used to grow, beside Kelp, any kind of algae and also Corals. Even first tests with salad and vegetable were successful up to a depths of 40 meters. The sphere is illuminated and can be lifted and lowered autonomously like a submarine with an air & water tank – to depths with the optimum temperature. This means that we are independent of the topology of the seabed near the coast. Beside conical shaped hexagons, we test diamond structures.
